Hosting

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the hosting provider pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The hosting provider processes the data exclusively in accordance with our instructions and in data centres in Germany (Nuremberg and Frankfurt am Main); as sub-processors for data centre operation it uses Hetzner Online GmbH, Gunzenhausen (Germany), and Global Switch GmbH, Frankfurt am Main (Germany).

The use of the hosting provider is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the technically reliable and secure presentation of our website.

Recipients of Personal Data

The sole recipient of the data processed when you visit this website is our hosting provider acting as processor. No data is disclosed to any other third parties, in particular not for advertising or analytics purposes.

Storage of Settings in Your Browser (No Cookies)

This website does not set any cookies and does not use any analytics or tracking tools. In order to retain your settings, we merely store the following values in your browser's local storage (localStorage):

• Language setting (if you change the language)
• Light or dark display mode (if you switch it)

These values remain exclusively on your device, are not transmitted to us and remain stored until you delete them via your browser settings.

The storage of and access to this information on your device are based on Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act), as they are strictly necessary to provide the display you have expressly requested.

Server Log Files

Our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits with every request:

• Browser type and version
• Operating system used
• Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
• Hostname of the accessing computer
• Time of the server request
• IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. The log files are automatically deleted after 30 days at the latest, unless they are required for longer to investigate a specific security incident.

This data is technically required for the secure and stable operation of the website (e.g. to fend off attacks). Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the security and functionality of the website.

Fonts (Local Hosting)

We use web fonts for a uniform presentation of typefaces. These are installed locally on our web server. No connection to external servers (e.g. Google Fonts) takes place.

Inquiry by E-mail, Phone or Fax

If you contact us by e-mail, phone or fax, your inquiry, including all personal data resulting from it (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

Processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR if your inquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR) if it has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you send us via contact requests will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for storage, or the purpose for storing the data ceases to apply (e.g. after we have finished processing your inquiry). Mandatory legal provisions—in particular statutory retention periods—remain unaffected.

We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. Through the purely informational use of this website, only data is collected that is technically necessary for operation.

SSL/TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser address bar changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.

Note on Data Transfer to Third Countries

No tools from third-party providers based outside the EU (e.g. USA) are integrated on this website. No data is transferred to third countries.

This privacy policy applies only to the website slt.de. Our learning apps Hurra Mathe (hurra-mathe.de) and Hurra Latein (hurra-latein.de) are governed by their own privacy policies, which you can find in the respective app or on the respective website.
